Transcendence

Level: Medium Advanced
Time: 7:30

From radiant light to encroaching shadow, Transcendence explores the spiritual and architectural journey of a cathedral — a space where stone, glass, and sound intertwine to express both awe and mystery. The show begins with Movement 1 – “Sanctum of Light”, a serene introduction of Gregorian chant and Bach’s Little Fugue in G Minor, evoking towering columns and sunlight piercing through vaulted arches. In Movement 2 – “Saints in Glass,” fragments of color and melody reflect the transformation of imperfection into beauty, framed through Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral and original material that shimmers like stained glass. The finale, “Gargoyle Watch,” bursts to life with Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor reimagined on electric guitar and fused with Paint It Black — a bold clash of sacred and savage energy. Through these movements, Transcendence illuminates the contrast between divine light and human darkness — a journey from creation to chaos, faith to fear, and ultimately, from the earth to the eternal.
